Objective: Design and conduct the Dementia Care Research Symposium and embed it for the long term.

Methodological approach: A research network will be formed for designing and conducting the Dementia Care Research Symposium and embedding it for the long term.

Current status: The research network for designing and conducting the Dementia Care Research Symposium was formed by Professor Gabriele Meyer (Institute for Health and Nursing Science of the Medical Faculty, Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg) and Professor Hanna Mayer (Department of Nursing Science of the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Vienna). The first symposium was held on 25 November 2019 at the FHS St.Gallen. The second symposium is currently planned for 25 March 2021 at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg in Halle (Saale), Germany. The partial results are continuously disseminated at national and international conferences (as at: 04/2020).
